Ensure your Google Form is Collecting Responder Email Addresses

How to Make Sure your Google Form is Collecting Email Addresses

Let's start off by saying it's not mandatory that your Payable Pro Google Forms are collecting customer email addresses, it is possible for your customers to go through your online or kiosk order flow without providing their email address to you. But - if you want your customers to receive an email copy of their order summary and checkout link, you'll want to make sure you're capturing their email address. It's also important to note that the Payable checkout page updates to a receipt once the order is paid, so a customer can always pull up their receipt with the email we send to them.

Open your Google Form
Click on the Settings section
Expand the Responses tab on the Settings page
Set Collect Email Addresses to 'Responder Input'
That's it!

Turn on Email Collection for your Google Form

Note: If you create a question on your form to collect customer's email addresses, we will not be able to email them order notifications. Only Google Form's email collection question as outlined above will pass on a customers email to us.
